Faculty Compensation

Tutor & Mentor Payment Model

Payment PhilosophyPaid. Fairly. Always.

Talent Factory pays every instructor fairly for every session they deliver. No "exposure" arrangements. No deferred payments. Every faculty member receives payment within 5 working days of their session. Session fees are agreed individually before any commitment is made.

RoleScopeRate RangePer Cohort EarningPayment Timing
Lead Instructor (1 module)1โ€“2 sessions ร— 2 hrs eachโ‚ฆ80,000 โ€“ โ‚ฆ150,000/sessionโ‚ฆ80k โ€“ โ‚ฆ300kWithin 5 working days of session

Physical Class PremiumPer physical session only+โ‚ฆ20,000 โ€“ โ‚ฆ40,000AdditiveCovers travel + time for in-person delivery

๐Ÿ’ณ How Payment Works

All fees are paid by bank transfer to the instructor's registered account. Before any commitment is finalised:

1. TF issues a formal Letter of Engagement (scope, dates, agreed fee)

2. Instructor confirms via signed letter or email acceptance

3. Bank details collected securely via TF Operations

4. Payment released within 5 working days of session delivery

5. Payment receipt and confirmation sent by email

Mentors are paid on the 1st of each internship month (months 4, 5, 6).

๐Ÿ“Œ Rate Factors Considered

  • Years of experience (7โ€“10 yrs vs 15+ yrs)
  • Seniority (Manager vs Director vs CHRO)
  • Module complexity and preparation required
  • Physical vs virtual delivery (physical earns premium)
  • Whether new content or existing material is used
  • Combined tutor + mentor role (bundle premium)

Rates are agreed privately. No published rate card. This protects flexibility and treats each instructor as an individual, not a line item.

714-day cancellation noticeIf session cannot be delivered, notify TF Operations at least 14 calendar days in advance to allow rescheduling without disrupting the cohortIf cancellation needed
Mentoring Phase Responsibilities (Months 4โ€“6)Internship Duration

All tutors are invited to continue as internship mentors. Mentoring is optional but strongly preferred โ€” it creates deeper student outcomes and is separately compensated monthly. Each mentor is assigned 2โ€“4 interns from the cohort.

#ResponsibilityDetailsFrequency
1Weekly 30-minute check-inVirtual 1-on-1 or small group with assigned interns. Discuss internship experience, challenges, wins. Provide career guidance and workplace navigation support.Every week (12 sessions)
2Availability between sessionsAccessible via WhatsApp or email for urgent workplace questions. Target response: within 24โ€“48 hours. Emergencies: same day where possible.Ongoing
3Mid-internship progress reviewSubmit a structured 1-page progress assessment per mentee โ€” strengths, areas for growth, any concerns. Submitted to TF team only, not host company.Month 5 (Week 8)
4Final internship evaluationComplete a structured performance evaluation form for each mentee at end of Month 6. Results inform the internship certificate and TF alumni records.End of Month 6
5Host company liaison (if needed)If a mentee is struggling at their host company, the mentor supports resolution โ€” facilitating a conversation with TF coordination. Not a frequent responsibility, but critical when needed. As required
6Graduation attendance (optional)Mentors are warmly invited to the Cohort graduation ceremony. Not mandatory, but deeply meaningful to students who have been supported throughout.End of Cohort
Combined Tutor + Mentor is our ideal. When the same person teaches AND mentors, the student experience is more cohesive, the relationship is deeper, and the impact is significantly greater. We compensate this combination at a premium and actively encourage it.

You've Built the
Knowledge. Now
Pass It Forward.

We're building Nigeria's First HR Academy โ€” and we need the country's finest HR practitioners to teach it. We believe you're one of them.

Explore the Faculty Role โ†’

Dear [Name],

My name is Felix Bissong. I'm the Founder and CEO of Talent Factory โ€” Nigeria's First Cohort-Based HR Academy โ€” built under the umbrella of The GenZ HR Consult.

I'm writing to you personally because of what you've built in the Nigerian HR profession. The teams you've led, the systems you've built, and the expertise you've accumulated is exactly what the next generation of HR professionals in this country needs โ€” and doesn't have access to.

I'd like to invite you to join our founding faculty for Cohort 1.

About Talent Factory

Talent Factory is Nigeria's first cohort-based HR Academy โ€” a 6-month hybrid program combining live expert-led training with guaranteed internship placement. Here's how it works:

๐Ÿ“š Phase 1 โ€” Learning (Months 1โ€“3)
Weekly live online sessions + one physical class per month in Lagos. Taught by senior Nigerian HR practitioners โ€” one expert per module. All sessions recorded. 30โ€“40 students per cohort.
๐Ÿข Phase 2 โ€” Internship (Months 4โ€“6)
Every student is placed at a real Nigerian company for 3 months. We match, place, and support. Our faculty members serve as mentors during this phase โ€” an optional but separately compensated role.
๐ŸŽ“ What Students Receive
Two PHRi-aligned certificates, practical tools, a peer cohort community, and a career trajectory that's actually been earned. Built for transitioners, HRM students, and junior HR professionals.
๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฌ Why This Matters
There is no structured, practical pathway into HR in Nigeria. No guaranteed experience. No practitioner-taught curriculum. Talent Factory is the permanent fix for all three gaps.

The Faculty Role โ€” Designed Around Your Life

ElementWhat it involves
Time commitment1โ€“2 sessions of 2 hours each per cohort (teaching). Optional: 30-minute weekly mentor check-ins ร— 12 weeks during internship phase.
Delivery formatOnline via Zoom for most sessions. One session per month is physical at our Lagos venue (travel premium applies). You choose your preference.
What you teachWe match you to the module you know best. We send you a curriculum brief and a session framework โ€” you bring the expertise and the real-world stories.
What you earnA competitive session fee agreed before any commitment โ€” paid within 5 working days of session delivery. Mentoring is separately compensated monthly. No "exposure" arrangements, ever.
Your profileA public instructor profile on the Talent Factory platform โ€” visible to our growing community of HR professionals, companies, and students across Nigeria.

The founding faculty of Nigeria's First HR Academy.

We are finalising Cohort 1 faculty now. The people in this first group will be remembered by every student who goes through the program โ€” and every HR professional they impact. We want the best people in this role, and we believe you are one of them.

We'd Also Like to Visit You

Beyond this email, we're making personal visits to potential faculty members โ€” bringing a small gift that captures what we're building. If you'd welcome a brief in-person conversation, let us know when works for you and we'll come to you.

To express interest, reply to this email or call +234 816 854 5860 directly. We'll schedule a 20-minute call โ€” you'll hear the full picture, decide if it's right for you, and we'll agree a fee before you commit to anything.

Thank you for what you've done for this profession. We hope to build on it together. ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฌ

The Tutor PR Gift Box

Box ConceptPremium ยท Branded ยท Memorable ยท Personal

When Felix and the team visit potential faculty members, they bring a beautifully packaged gift box that communicates Talent Factory's brand, ambition, and respect for the recipient โ€” before a word is spoken. The box should feel premium, deliberate, and make the recipient feel genuinely seen. It tells a story before it's even opened.

The box message: "You've built something remarkable. We're building something important. We want you to be part of it."

๐Ÿ“ฆ
The Gift Box
Rigid ink-black gift box with gold foil "TF" mark embossed on lid. Gold satin ribbon. Interior: black tissue paper with gold Talent Factory stamp. Approx. 30ร—22ร—12cm. This is the first impression โ€” it must earn attention before it's opened.
โœ๏ธ
Handwritten Note Card
A5 premium cream card, TF logo header. Handwritten by Felix โ€” personally, specifically for this recipient. Acknowledges their work by name. Ends: "We would be honoured to have you shape what comes next." Signed in ink. Not printed, not typed.
๐Ÿ’ณ
Faculty Invitation Card
Premium A6 card. Dark background, gold type. "You have been personally invited to join the founding faculty of Nigeria's First HR Academy." Recipient's name printed on the front. Feels like an award, not a brochure.
๐Ÿ“‹
Program Overview Booklet
A6 saddle-stitched booklet, 8 pages. Program overview, their specific module, time commitment, what they earn, and a direct call to action. Beautiful design โ€” not a printed email. This is what converts interest into commitment.
โ˜•
Branded Mug
Premium ceramic mug. Black with gold TF mark + "Where Great HR Careers Begin." Heavy, quality feel โ€” the kind that ends up on the desk for years. Not a cheap giveaway. A usable, beautiful object with the brand on it.
๐Ÿ““
Branded Jotter / Notebook
A5 hardcover notebook. Black cover, gold spine stripe, TF mark on front. Inside cover: "This is where the next chapter begins." The notebook they'll use for their session notes โ€” and everything else.
๐Ÿ–Š๏ธ

๐ŸŽ€
